Every day, going through the motions,
And I see the rising, tumultuous commotions,
I ask this one question, 'O America, where are you?'
I wonder if anyone else asks this question too.
How great was America at one time,
Here was where Lady Liberty and Sir Justice danced like a rhyme,
Oh, how has America fallen into such despair,
Like a maiden left without anyone to care.
I ask again, 'O America, where are you?'
I wonder if anyone else cares to ask that question too,
For America is mother to us all,
United we stand, and divided we fall.
How has such a great nation like America so wretchedly fallen from grace,
Even God himself has from us turned his face,
Our sins and transgressions are so great,
And yet we show no repentance to date.
I pray this much for us all,
O America, turn away from evil and sin,
Lest you stumble and fall into history's dustbin,
O America, answer to God's loving call.
God is loving and caring,
Even as He is omnipotent and uncompromising,
O America, hear God's call for forgiveness and repentance,
Do not squander and forsake your last redemptive chance.
